Summer 2020 has definitely been unique. Instead focusing on the things we couldn’t do this summer, we chose to be thankful for what we could do.

We visited so many spots this year, starting with the always amazing Lunenburg. We were very happy to find the Bluenose II was in port during our visit.

Peggy’s Cove was a spot we found ourselves at many times this summer. The highlight to our many visits was joining the South Shore Memorial Drive for Portapique.

We finally made it to visit the site of the SS Atlantic Disaster Memorial site.

One of my favourite adventures this summer was our trip to Digby to go whale watching.

Our stay on Brier Island was very relaxing.

On our way back to Digby we stopped at Balancing Rock Trail.

Partridge Island Trail was also ticked off on our list. The view here was spectacular.

Sherbrooke Village was a spot we’ve wanted to see for a long time but never made it there until this year. I look forward to returning when we are able to explore on our own a bit more.

We decided to add a stay in Pictou and a visit to Melmerby Beach while we were down that way.

We did several trips to the Valley this summer, most recently for apples. Apple season in the Valley is the best!

With the end of summer now here it’s time to change gears, grab a sweater and get ready to see the annual changing of the leaves across this province. There really is no more beautiful site than Nova Scotia is full Autumn colours.
