Vacation time is here! Yay!
We started this years vacation with a quick trip to Moncton. The drive from home to Moncton is very pretty this time of year. Lots to see along the way.
We have been to Moncton many times over the years and I have always wanted to stay at the Chateau Moncton. It just looks so nice. It was everything I thought it would be!
In 2014 three Moncton RCMP officers lost their lives in the line of duty. It was one of the saddest things I can remember happening in the Maritimes in a long time. In 2016 the city unveiled an Honour Garden and a Memorial to the fallen officers.
This memorial is at the end of Moncton’s riverside boardwalk. No trip to Moncton is complete without a trip down the boardwalk (of course there were lots of Pokémon chasers on this trip!).
Of course the walk down Main St is also nice.
Great way to start our vacation road trips!
